Just sharing my experience again bit more, I had gone through tremendous problem during mid-term exams because of exam software webcam issue, even one of my paper had to be cancelled - it was rescheduled later. I involved even VU_IT manager, who himself and his team tried for two days via teamviewer to fix the issue on my computer but they couldn't. Actually they don't know the bug (or they don't want to know). They kept "hit & try" approach, for example first they asked me to buy a new webcam, then they said the problem is in internet, so I bought mobily connection, and also I tried my office internet (where they have high bandwitch dedicated line) nothing worked...... and then after wasting two complete days during exam period, practically VU_IT gave-up with a statement that other students in Saudi don't have this problem therefore it is not with the exam software etc but in your computer or interent...go and fix it yourself.

Then having not way out, I consulted two IT consultants, both are IT managers in an multinational company, they spent about four continuously hours to find and fix the issue on my computer.

The issue is that: VU exam use a specific version of "activeX" but there is new version of flashplayer which has a latest "activeX" built in, anyone who install the latest flashplayer, it automatically/forcely pull the latest ActivX contents as well which is not compatible with the exam webcam part of exam software ....... consequently webcam doens't work properly......, this is how it was explained to me by IT consultant who solved my problem during mid-term exams..........though I am not an IT person. Hence we have to remove all flashplayer and activeX contents from the machine (I sent the procedure earlier) and then have to install the way mentioned in my earlier document. That way, the VU Exam software automatically pull the required ActiveX version and related plug-ins etc.

Bytheway..... I had my 3rd paper today morning (MGT602) Alhamdullillah no issues at all....

Again, just sharing the experience.......there might be another or different issue now....

Just sharing my experience again bit more, I had gone through tremendous problem during mid-term exams because of exam software webcam issue, even one of my paper had to be cancelled - it was rescheduled later. I involved even VU_IT manager, who himself and his team tried for two days via teamviewer to fix the issue on my computer but they couldn't. Actually they don't know the bug (or they don't want to know). They kept "hit & try" approach, for example first they asked me to buy a new webcam, then they said the problem is in internet, so I bought mobily connection, and also I tried my office internet (where they have high bandwitch dedicated line) nothing worked...... and then after wasting two complete days during exam period, practically VU_IT gave-up with a statement that other students in Saudi don't have this problem therefore it is not with the exam software etc but in your computer or interent...go and fix it yourself.

Then having not way out, I consulted two IT consultants, both are IT managers in an multinational company, they spent about four continuously hours to find and fix the issue on my computer.

The issue is that: VU exam use a specific version of "activeX" but there is new version of flashplayer which has a latest "activeX" built in, anyone who install the latest flashplayer, it automatically/forcely pull the latest ActivX contents as well which is not compatible with the exam webcam part of exam software ....... consequently webcam doens't work properly......, this is how it was explained to me by IT consultant who solved my problem during mid-term exams..........though I am not an IT person. Hence we have to remove all flashplayer and activeX contents from the machine (I sent the procedure earlier) and then have to install the way mentioned in my earlier document. That way, the VU Exam software automatically pull the required ActiveX version and related plug-ins etc.

Bytheway..... I had my 3rd paper today morning (MGT602) Alhamdullillah no issues at all....

Again, just sharing the experience.......there might be another or different issue now....

i sent following email to V.U. but no reply so far.

Dear Sir,

With lots of regret I want to inform you that there is some problem in the V.U. software. Initially I thought that it is my problem only but now came to know that most of the overseas students are facing this problem.

Problem: Inspite haing very high speed of internet (wired), camera struck in the middle of the paper even though the internet is not disconnected.

This happens to me in 3 papers. First time 50 min after the paper, then 40 min and now 61 minutes.

In short:

We are studying very hard to get a recognized degree from V.U. If these types of things will arrise, we will be forced to discontinue with V.U. and find some alternate source.

Today I had a paper of Total Quality Management and camera struck in the middle of the paper (after 61 min and internet connected). I was not able to complete my paper. This course is the basis for management students.

Not only I am facing this problem, there are number of students. This is my 6th exam in V.U. and before I never faced any problem

Coming Papers:

I have 3 papers left, please do something so that I can finish my remaining papers without any hinderance
