Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah,

The use of Turban and Cap is the Sunnat of our Prophet, the habit of the Sahabas, Taba'een and the righteous people. These are the signs of Muslim, so we should also use these, if we can't use throughout the day at least we should offer the prayers by covering our heads, though it is not necessary for the men.

In view of most of the religious scholars making it a habit to offer prayers without covering head is not good. Fore more details, read my new article.

This new article "The importance of Amama & Topi" will also be available on www.deeneislam.com later on.
