Asslam O AlikumIt has been observed that the academic calendar of Virtual University has been delayed from other universities. This causes a serious problem for the students who are in the final semester and going to complete their degree in that semester. Because if delay is occur in the final semester then one academic years has been lost for those students who have to take admission for higher study.If you consider the current (Fall 2011) academic calendar that is going to start on October 03, 2011; this has been delayed from other universities. In other universities academic calendar is going to start immediately after EID. This means that the VU academic calendar is delay 20 to 25 days. This will cause serious problem for the students whose degree is going to complete in this semester and want to take admission for higher study. Theses students will miss one whole academic year and will not be able to take admission in this year. To take admission for higher study they will have to wait for whole year. This will be very painful for those students.
you know that the admission in MS/M.Phil and PHD has been announced in December or January. Last date of submission of admission form is round about in last of January or up to mid of February and there classes start in March. If we see the current academic calendar of VU there final term exam are going to start from February 03, 2012. According to this final exam will be completed up to February 18, 2012. After the completion of final term presentation on project/internship will be started. It will also take around about one month. This means that our result of project/internship will be announced at the end of March and our degree will be awarded in April.
My Case
I am the student of MBA (96 Cr. Hrs. / 3.5 years) and interested to take admission in PHD at Quaid-e-Azam Universtiy. There admission for PHD will be announced in January and last date of submission of admission form is in last of February. There classes will be started in mid of March. I will miss one whole academic only due to the 20 to 25 days delay. (Please note that the admission in PHD in the field of Management Science at QAU is conducted once in a year.)
I have a request to you that the semester will be started immediately after Eid so that this gap may be covered and presentation is completed soon after exam. Result of this semester will be announced with in week on the completion of exam. (Note that in other universities only one week is taken in exam and there is no gap between the semesters. Semester is immediately started after final exam. The gap between the semesters also causes the delay in semester.) On declaration of result immediately result card (by hand in the head office of VU) will be delivered to students who are interested to take further admission.
considers the problem of students and take immediate action to solve the problem of students. Your timely action will save one academic year for me and also for many other students.
