Point of discussion
In recent years a lot has been talked about creation of open trade relationship between India and Pakistan. One school of thought has a view that existence of strong trade ties between both of these countries will nurture the peace and cultural harmony in subcontinent region and indirectly it will also help the business communities of both the countries to learn from each other's experiences. Contrary to this another school of thought exists with a view that this trade relationship is unacceptable because it will be difficult for the brands belonging to both of these countries to get emotional acceptance of people in the targeted country due to historical enmity (hate) factor between these countries. In addition to this the second school of thought has also the opinion that industrial sector of India is well established in comparison of Pakistan and so if the open trade gets kicked off then these Indian corporate giants will crush the Pakistani domestic players; Example in this context is given of Bollywood movies getting showcased in Pakistan which have brought local movie industry to its last breath. Second school of thought also has the opinion that Indian market in spite of its huge size has no potential for Pakistani exporters and the whole benefit of this open trade will go to India.
