har roz qayaamat Dhaate haiN, tere bebas insaanoN par
ai Khaliq-e-insaaN too samjhaa, apne Khoonii insaanoN ko

diivaaroN meN sahme baiThe haiN, kya Khoob milii hai aazaadii
apnoN ne bahaaya KhooN itnaa, ham bhool gaye be_gaanoN ko

ik-ik pal ham par bhaarii hai, daHshat, taqdeer hamaarii hai
ghar bhii nahiiN maHfooz ko_ii, baahar bhii hai Khatraa jaanoN ko 

Gham apnaa bhulaaeN ja ke kahaaN, ham haiN aur shahr-e-aah-o-fuGhaaN
haiN shaam se pahle log ravaaN, apne-apne Gham-KhaanoN ko

nikleN ki na nikleN inkii razaa, baNdook hai inke haathoN meN
saada the buzurg apne ''Jaalib'', ghar sauNp gaye darbaanoN ko
