Ye shehar tha jo sota nahi tha,

Andhere muhallon me hota nahi tha,

Basso ki sada sone deti nahi thi,

Ye samjho yaha raat hoti nahi thi,

Wo thelon me bikti hui mong phliaan,

Barri dair tak jagti thi ye galian,

Yahan rehne walo me tha bhai chara,

Jo dushman ko har giz nahi tha gawara,

Hui phir hamare khilaf 1 sazish,

Thami hi nahi jase laashon ki barish,

Ujarta raha phir hamara karachi,

Gharon me yahan mot ja ja ke naachi,

Mere dost so ja ke hai ghup andhera,

Bache ge to dekhen ga kal phir sawera
